Shampoo

We recommend you wash your hair extensions at least once a week using appropriately formulated shampoos including the full Aussie range.

Be sure to part your hair into 4 sections using hair bands and then detangle with a wide toothcomb. Gently shampoo in a downward motion, working from the bottom up. Rinse thoroughly using warm water until hair is saturated, avoiding scrubbing of any sort.

Conditioning

Apply a modest amount of rich conditioner, like Hair Masks and leave in for 1 hour. We recommend using the Mixed Chicks full range for curly hair. Gently comb working from the bottom up with a wide tooth comb to ensure even coverage and detangling. Rinse in the same manner and allow hair to air dry. Only blow-dry when necessary. As conditioning is vital to your maintenance regime, we suggest you deep condition your hair twice a month and leave in for 2 hours.

After every wash, apply a reasonable amount of hair serum such as John Freida Frizz Ease and Morcocan Argan Oil whilst the hair is still damp before leaving it to air dry. This will give your hair a lovely healthy shine.

Make sure you restore the moisture in your hair and never allow it to get dry. This is to prevent shedding, tangling and split ends. Please note conditioner and serum are the best forms of moisturiser. Remember not to use excessive amounts of serum as this will weigh the hair down and make it look greasy.

Styling

Keep your locks tangle free by gently combing with a wide tooth comb bottom up avoiding any tension. Bendy rollers can be used at night. We recommend enhancing your waves with hot tools including curling wands, tongs and straighteners / flat irons. Use Mixed Chicks leave-in conditioner for curly hair. This helps retain softness and revives the hair. Avoid products containing alcohol as this leaves the hair feeling dry and damaged.

Hair care products

If you bleach, tint or perm your hair, you risk drying out your hair extensions. We cannot guarantee the longevity of any hair that has been chemically treated. Please carefully read the labels of all hair products. Do not use any of the hair products listed above if you are allergic. Be sure to strand test first. We strongly suggest you follow these essential tips in order to extend the longevity of your hair extensions. Remember, as the hair isn't growing directly from your scalp, it is imperative that you keep your locks fully hydrated and cared for.
